Barn Renovation Dec 2013

In December 2013, the Creative Chateau initiated it’s renovation of the upper barn to expand for artist workshops, barn wedding venues, and other special events.

The bank barn was built in the 1860’s and has lots of beauty and charm.  Here’s a sneak preview of our construction plans… Upon walking toward the entrance you will be greeted with a brick approach laid in a herringbone pattern. As you enter the front glass doors you will walk into the thrashing area of the barn. Looking up you will be welcomed with magnificent 32 foot ceiling from a historic past. Strait ahead facing to the south is a bank of 10 by 12 foot windows encased in a beautiful stone wall. Looking out these windows is a breath taking view of the Ohio countryside. To the West you will walk through the post and frame beams to the warmth of a 10 foot by 32 foot high stone fireplace. Adjacent to this are the powder and dressing rooms for the bride to be. Now that you are feeling comfortable, you will want to mosey on over to the kitchen/bar area for a refreshing drink and up the stairs to the mezzanine that overlooks the central floor. While taking in the view, there will be 7 ceiling fans to coax in the summer breeze making your experience equal to that of an old movie. You never know Clark Gable might be waiting around the corner. Speaking of movies, there will be cameras video taping your event, so you can live stream to your guests that were not available for the event.   The next episode of this story could involve you….
