Instructor: Terri Meyer
The second class will focus on the palette and how to lay it out in a systematic approach. If time permits the first layers of color will be added to the underpainting.
The final class will focus on adding more layers of colors to achieve luminosity to your painting.
The student will work from a photograph that has been preapproved for quality and composition prior to class.
Upon registration you will be sent a supply list. Registration due by February 9th.
This class is geared for the beginner or intermediate level oil painter. A introductory discussion will be given about paint qualities, subtrates, types of brushes and non toxic solvents. You will learn about value, edges, chroma, hue, composition, and color mixing. These elements are important aspects in creating a successful painting. You will be taught how to transfer an image onto a canvas, and create a value study as an underpainting.
