En Plein Air is a French expression which means to "paint in open air".  In this workshop you will paint outdoors with your own easle and umbrella.  You will be taught to make a pencil value study of your scene and use that as a launching point for your painting. The day will begin with a demo by the instructor Terri Meyer and a lesson on the principles of painting.  You will select your own subject and location on the premise of the Creative Chateau.  Lunch will be held in the conservatory. At the end of each day there will be a critique session to discuss the strengths of the paintings and to offer suggesions for improvements. This workshop is 3 days in duration, starting at 10a and finishing at 5:30p.  Class date are May 14, 15, 16th (Mon - Wed), register by May 10th.  If you are traveling from out of town, information on nearby hotels will be sent to you.  Supply list will be emailed to you after registration.
