Portrait Artist
Born in Mansfield, Ohio, Sharon and her family moved to Crestline, Ohio in the early 1960’s. As a young girl, drawing portraits of her friends and family was her favorite pastime.

After a brief time at Pittsburgh Art Institute Sharon married Charles Weaver and had 3 children. She continued painting and developing her skills as a portrait artist, while raising a family. While mostly self-taught, some training included drawing and painting classes from local workshops, Columbus College of Art & Design and six months of private lessons with portrait artist, Michael Mason, then of Mansfield.
She was a charter member of the Bushnell Co-op Gallery, Mansfield, Oh. from 1988 to 1989. Her work
has also been displayed in the Mansfield Art Center, The Gallery, Shelby, Ohio., The Firelands Art League, Norwalk, Ohio, Bellevue Art Center , Bellevue, Ohio, Henne’s Art Cellar Gallery, Mansfield, Ohio, the Kuhn Fine Arts Gallery, Ohio State University, Marion, Ohio, Lakeside Art Show, Lakeside, Ohio, the Peninsula Art Center, Peninsula, Ohio, the Schumacher Gallery, Capital University, The High Roads Gallery, Columbus, Ohio as well as Terri’s Creative Chateau, Ashland, Ohio.

Along with her passion for portraits she is a member of the Ohio Plein Air Society. Painting “in the open air” is another challenge she finds fulfilling. Sharon also has inspirational designs woven as tapestry throws made by LoomCraft, Inc. of Belton, SC.

It is her goal to portray and communicate the love of God through her paintings.
