Horse Portrait Paintings
Capturing the essence of a horse portrait is as much an art as the painting process.
Ohio artist, Terri Meyer, began a series of Horse paintings in 2012 focusing on Horse Portraits. The original Horse Portrait Paintings are oil on canvas 30 by 30 inches painted in broad strokes with a palette knife. Her inspiration to create this equestrian art was prompted by the death of a childhood friend who succumbed to breast and brain cancer. The first Horse Portrait Painting was created to tribute her friend and her love for horses. This led to this series which is still in process. Even though the originals have a private home, fine art prints are available through our printing partner Fine Art America.
The artist has made several of these paintings into unique wall clocks, jigsaw puzzles, and throw pillows.
