Plein Air Landscape Painting challenges an artist to paint fast, endure changing lighting conditions and build confidence in their painting techniques. Successful paintings are fresh, not overworked, and have the feel that the artist knew exactly what they wanted to capture with effortless ease. Nothing compares to a day outdoors when a painting literally paints itself. It’s those days I reflect back and think, how did I do that? Then I realize, I just got out of the way and let creativity take over and do the work. It’s a very spiritual and rewarding experience. The paintings are created in pastels and sold as fine art prints.
Ohio Artist Terri Meyer resides on a ranch and specializes in painting in oils, watercolor and pastels. In addition she creates figurative and portrait sculptures.
