Combining history, art, and nostalgia, Ohio Artist Terri Meyer recreates history from turn-of-the-century Ohio postcards and vintage photographs collected from various auctions and antique stores. Notes written on the back side of the cards describe moments of personal information, and postmarks validate the location and time frame of the postcards or photographs. Each Ohio Clock is uniquely designed to blend history with function. At the turn of the century, Ohio cities were booming economically, and there was much pride in the downtown communities. Preserving history and restoring what has been lost was the guiding force behind the creation of this line of Ohio Clocks, passing the pride of the community for generations to come.
